The Bald Man and the Key is the seventh episode of the first season of Crash Bandicoot: N-Ventures!, but was the nineth episode produced. In this episode, Dr. Nitrus Brio enlisted the help from Crash and Coco to get his house key back from Pinstripe Potoroo.

Plot Summary[]

Dr. Nitrus Brio was locked out of his home in Cortex Island! He immediately decided to get on the bananaphone, and call his best friend, Crash Bandicoot. Crash somehow knew exactly where Brio's key was. The manager of Cortex's nuclear power plant, Pinstripe Potoroo, stole it and bribed Polar to build a mech to guard it. It is unexplained how Crash knew of this. Without a pause, Brio knocked on Crash's door. Crash answered it, and called for Coco. The three of them begun their journey to Cortex Power. Since none of them owned any mode of transportation, Crash and Coco rode Brio, who used his potions to transform into a monster truck. They then reached Cortex Power, where they were greeted by two guards - Labby Larry and Beaker Bill. They were easily tricked by Carbrio into joining their party. Upon entering the plant, Koala Kong appeared. He attacked them, but was easily tricked by now-human-again Brio into breaking into an R&B number. One of Pinstripe's potoroo minions, Phil (voiced by Tom Kenny), saw this and trapped the heroes, and Labby Larry and Beaker Bill. Larry and Bill got distracted by doing some boring Three Stooges style schtick, so Brio, Crash, and Coco were on their own. Brio drank another potion, this time turning him into a comically oversized mallet. Crash and Coco both grabbed Malletbrio and smashed open their temporary prison. Brio then turned back to normal, and stormed into Pinstripe's office, where he is seen paying Polar and Ripper Roo off. Polar unveils his newest invention - The House Key Destroyer. Ripper Roo jumps in to pilot it. Brio is absolutely terrified! His house key might be gone forever! Just then, Koala Kong runs in, still dancing to R&B music, which is apparently the machine's one weakness. It falls apart, and Brio got his house key back! An angry Pinstripe gives up, by declaring that music is one of the greatest gifts of all.
