...and Potoroo Makes Poto-Two! is the eighteenth aired episode of Crash Bandicoot: N-Ventures!, but was the nineteenth episode produced. This episode notably consists largely of a flashback, detailing a young Ripper Roo struggling to cope with Dr. Neo Cortex's decision to create a second minion, Pinstripe Potoroo.

Plot Summary[]

One night, Ripper Roo and Pinstripe Potoroo are using their combined fields of knowledge - explosives for Roo, cannons for Pinstripe - to set up a diabolical trap for Crash Bandicoot. Dr. Neo Cortex is amused, for he remembers a time when the two did not get along at all. Obviously, he decides to tell them this story, in flashback form. Cortex recalls the days when Ripper Roo was his first and only underling. The two spent day and night together, joyously blowing up pretty much everything, as we see in an extended montage with an original song. This all seemed to come to a screeching halt when Cortex created another minion, Pinstripe Potoroo. Suddenly, Ripper Roo felt ignored. Cortex was suddenly spending all of his time with the new baby! They joyously shot a bunch of random stuff out of a cannon, as we see in another extended montage with another original song. Ripper Roo was sad, and it did not help when Pinstripe mocked him, endlessly. Eventually, Ripper Roo had completely had it. He tied Pinstripe up in one of his spare straitjackets, forced him into a giant crate, and mailed him off to Abu Dhabi Island. Cortex was obviously sad when he found out of Pinstripe's disappearance. Ripper Roo facetiously tried to console him, until the package was returned due to insufficient postage. Ripper Roo bemoaned his inclusion of his return address on the packaging. Infuriated, Cortex gave Ripper Roo a timeout in the corner. Due to his compulsive inability to hold still, being forced to do so made Ripper Roo start hallucinating. During an extended dream sequence, he imagined an army of Pinstripe clones, all mocking him, with yet another original song. Conveniently right after the finale, Ripper Roo was snapped back to reality by Cortex, who explained that he's had a chance to calm down. He further explains that, yes, of course the new baby was more important, but that Ripper Roo would still always be his first and favourite minion. Ripper Roo, Cortex, and Pinstripe took that opportunity to have a group hug, as we return to the present, where the three are group hugging, again. "We love you Uncle Cortie," they declare in unison. However, they slowly glance over and notice that, whoops, that story had distracted them long enough for Crash to disarm their trap! They are angry, but Crash just shrugs. He then explains the importance of washing your hands after using the restroom, something Cortex, Ripper Roo, and Pinstripe are able to agree wholeheartedly with.
